Life Groups
One of the most effective ways to get involved and meet new people at Oakwood is to join one of our many Life Groups. Life Groups are small group bible studies consisting of 6-10 people. Life Groups typically meet on Sunday Mornings, but there are a few that meet on alternate days. Life Groups are a way to not only study God’s Word, but it is a place to meet new friends that will help you apply the truths of scripture to your everyday life. For more information on how to join one of our Life Groups, simply fill out the short request form and one of our staff members will be in contact with you.
Connecting our LIFE Together
We aren’t designed to live out our lives alone. God designed us to have relationships. Our most important relationship is with Him, but He also wants us to have deep and meaningful relationships with others around us. In fact, He tells us to do so in His Word. He wants us to share with one another; He wants us to pray with and for one another. Our prayer for our LIFE Group is that you connect with others, building long lasting friendships and relationships that are fundamental for living LIFE.
Growing our LIFE Together
We are disciples of Jesus. We are His students but we not only want to learn from Him, we want to be like Him. LIFE Groups, while sometimes giving practical applications for daily life, helps us to grow our LIFE and become more like Jesus by sharing our collective knowledge and gifts.
Impacting the LIFE of Others
We are here to impact the lives of others by taking the Gospel to the world. That doesn’t have to mean preaching. It can mean sharing. It can be a kind word. It can be a helping hand. It is having an impact on those around us so that they can one day live the LIFE that God intended for them.
We are here to impact the lives of others

Music and Creative Arts
The Music & Creative Arts Ministry exists to praise and glorify God, striving for a sweeter communion and greater knowledge of Him through excellence in music and artistic expression. It is our desire that through the creative arts, we may reflect His creative nature, and be drawn into His presence through unified congregational offerings of praise, testimony, and theology. Resonating the Gospel though all we do, it is our sincere hope that all will be drawn closer to Jesus, learning and rejoicing with us at His throne. Whether you are interested in being a part of our ministry or just a part of our church family, we hope to provide ongoing opportunities for you to see the greatness of God, His love for us, and His salvation through Jesus Christ. He alone is worthy of our praise!
Weekly Schedule
Sunday
8:30am - Praise Team Rehearsal
11:00am - Corporate Worship
Praise Team
The Praise Team is an auditioned group of musicians who provide the instrumental accompaniment and vocal leadership for our congregational singing. This ensemble is comprised of a number of vocalists and varied instrumentation of strings, winds, keyboards, and percussion.
Technical/Media Team
The Technical Team is comprised of adults and students who provide the technical support for all services at Oakwood. This includes sound, lights, video projections, PowerPoint presentations, video editing, and CD/DVD duplication. There are always openings as we strive to expand our rotating schedule of volunteers. Experience and knowledge are desired but not required; training will be provided after an informal interview with the music and pastoral staff.
We believe worship is a genuine, simple response of the heart to who God is and what He has done for us in Christ.
